Camera in Coop??

I have a Summer baby monitor with night vision. Two things I don't like about it; one being the interference, which could be caused from my living to close to the interstate. Second would be it doesn't work as well at the range that it claims to. Overall its a nice gadget to have and a good way to keep an eye on the flock.

Summer brand is a bad brand, they can be very blurry thanks to micro waves, cell phones and many other items. If looking for a baby monitor camera system look for one that is Digital not analog. The analog systems will have less range (than they advertise) and will have interference where as the digital broadcast farther and keep a clear image 98% of the time.

My now 2.5 year old son has a digital monitor in his room so I can check on him but not disturb his sleep or play. 3 story house and it works just fine, and I take it out to the yard with me too. The brand name is LOREX they can ordered right online, and can support multiple cameras too.

The Lorex and Logitech systems are costly, but provide great images and never go down on me (yet). The Lores system is over a year old and still works great. The logitech system is brand new to me as I am just now testing it and giving them feed back on the image quality and usefulness.

Checked it yesterday and didn't see any chickens, but today there were two under the camera. Looked like a brown one and a yellow one. They were kinda squaring off, it was cute!

Night vision works pretty good too.
