I happened to be at the point of just finishing up a store-bought coop build and total upgrade/improvement and thought incorporating a camera would be wise. I have 7 pullets in a brooder in the garage that will be occupying the finished product in about a month or so.
I mounted the camera right on a corner, down low so I have a 270* PTZ view with motion detection, sound, speaker, siren, LED and night vision, etc. Tough to go wrong at $33 bucks and it's Wi-Fi, I can be deep in the house and wi-fi pulls the signal with ease and the coop is 45' from the edge of my house. It does motion detection pretty well, so far. Last night it caught a racoon checking things out which is why I have 2 big boxes coming via UPS from Premier 1 with a PoultryNet Plus system to surround the coop compound.
