I’m looking for a security cam recommendation, I have a decent WiFi network and I want it for picking up activity outside the duck coop in their fence. The coop I have faith in it’s security and I am more interested in goings on outside and being alerted to them when they are happening and not finding out the next morning. I find a dizzying array of them on amazon from 20-2000 dollars. I would rather spend a little more and get one that works well, (not 2000) but I’d would go as much as 200 if I had to. has a good field of view and is wireless. I found one that had an accessory solar panel to keep it charged but had a narrow field of view. I like the little solar panel idea. I keep my IPad near my bed stand and would link it to that for motion alerts.
Any advice or suggestions would be great.

Guy down the road from me monitors wildlife activity on several farms in the area, and he has installed game cameras that transmit the photos they take to his cell phone. I checked, and my cellular service sells them. It might work for video as well as still photos.

I can't remember the name, product or service, but I can recall one guy showing me the feed on his cell phone of live video streaming from his chicken house. He was 50 miles from home, so it was streaming via his cell phone company. I seem to recall this was simple and inexpensive.

I have several game cameras but they are not WiFi. Go on YouTube and you will probably find many recommendations. When I bought some cameras I didn't know squat about them and started doing some research and YouTube was very helpful in guiding me in what to look for in a camera. I have found some fairly inexpensive cameras that take good nighttime pictures which was what I was looking for because here most of the predators roam at night. Good luck and have fun...

Even if I did have a WiFi camera, it probably wouldn't work for me because my coops and areas would be to far away from my router. I did at one time put a range extender but I couldn't get WiFi on my phone where I would need it.

I’m putting up my game cam tonight, they are inside an electronet enclosure and inside the duck coo so I’m pretty confident in security at night time. But that doesn’t mean I want to invite predators to try. I had a Fox so bold as to go after the cat under the bird feeder once, and we see them often. Also raccoons are prevalent. I hear rumors of Fisher but have never actually seen one.

When I first got a game camera, I was surprised at the predators that roam around here especially at night. This one might be worth checking into $32.99. I bought some cheap cameras that turned out to be good cameras but sadly they are no longer available.

I have several identical to this one and it's very good for nighttime pictures.

I bought three of these cameras for $29.95 each. They are identical to some of my other cameras but marketed under a different name and take very good nighttime pictures. Unfortunately they are no longer available.

I use these, they are fine but the wifi point has to be 30 meters or so from the camera, they bring the videos straight to your phone or computer, they work on router or wifi extenders, if you buy them don't buy the solar panels they sell for them, the batteries will work just fine.
