Campine Chicken thread?

Pics
They do look like cockerels, but now you have something to go with your two earlier pullets!

exactly! i already have two girls, so was actually hoping for at least one boy -- now i have three to choose from! so no feeling sorry here...

the light was lower in the other two's pen, so i couldn't get nice sharp photos, but i did take a cute blurred one of the two others, playing in their feeder (of course):

Maybe it will help if u cross friesian blood in cause my friesian hen looks just like my gold campine

But the marking is different on the males and they are not hen-feathered.

You'd be introducing some potential problems.

But then, it may be possible to breed back from the cross.

Quote: Are Chamois Campines in the USA yet?

Yes, there are pockets of them, including Ariel that posted above from NV.

I'm working on developing my own from my line of goldens. Still on the first breeding though.

Thanks for the response. I have long admired pics of them on Feathersite.

do you mean a chamois friesian? or the original silver pencilled friesian? i'm confused.
