Chickens have spur buds, females and males both - sometimes the females grow large spurs, it is not a gender indicator.

By 18 weeks a Campine cockerel would have a huge comb. I think you're pretty safe. Campines are so pretty.

It's not as common, but hens can crow. You sure she's not just being more vocal as she's getting close to laying age? I know my EE makes a lot of noise now.

It was a full on cockadoodledoo and she did it 3 times and those tail feathers. Roo. It's ok. She's my 9th confirmed rooster out of 10. No joke. This other one's prob a roo too.

Are you sure she wasn't practising her 'egg song'? Campines can be very noisy and pullets often get very vocal before they start laying. If it didn't have a noticeable, pink comb by a month old I still say it's a girl. I do know Sebright hens often crow. I'd keep it until I was sure.

She is definitely a pullet , I have a gold campine and she has long tail feathers .

Ok. I'm going to stay hopeful! She keeps crowing each morning.
She is a very noisy thing anyway. No eggs yet and no mounting. I got her at 16weeks so I'm not sure what she had going on when she was little.
Fingers crossed.
