anybody raise campines how rare are they?

We don't raise them as we only have two silver campine hens, but we love them so much we are planning on trying to find a rooster for our hens and also want some gold campines too. Great birds!

We had bought a Silver Campine hen last summer but didn't know what she was until after something had killed her. She was a little bit flighty for me. I prefer the more mellow breeds; orpington, wyandotte, barred rock, faverolles etc. The night she died we found the eggs she had hidden and hatched them last October. 5 pullets and 1 roo crossed with my Cuckoo Marans. The girls are getting ready to lay any day now.
