Solved Can’t reply to a comment

following a thread, an offensive comment was made, (implication of criminal behavior on the part of the OP) I am unable to reply to it or report the comment... does this mean it’s already being addressed by a moderator?

That's certainly not the kind of stuff we want to see in the community! Im not positive, someone will have to confirm but I believe that means a moderator has already dealt with it and it will probably be removed asap. Check back tomorrow and make sure it's gone, if not, message a moderator with the thread!

Sometimes the mods will "lock" a thread so no further posts can be made to it. If that's the case, you'll see a little padlock image.

It’s likely whilst you were trying to respond to the comment it was removed. Especially so if you had not refreshed the page. I would like to ask though that if members see an offensive or inappropriate post that they do not respond or quote that post. When this happens it can add fuel to any fire that maybe there. It also takes a lot of time for staff to trawl through & remove all the posts that have the offensive/inappropriate post quoted. Please just report the post.

Couldn’t report or respond, I was trying to respond to ask someone else to report it for me... clearly someone had already addressed it, and a very quick response on it being removed! Thanks for the help, next time I will be more patient, I’m just without a proper internet connection and my cell data can get very buggy. Again, thankful it is resolved!
