All day long like it's not even there. They'll more likely just rip the door open though or peel back a corner of the wall. A word of warning on the outside roost... If your chickens are not inside the coop at night, raccoons will reach through the 2"x4" mesh on top and do terrible things to them. Nice looking coop!
Ive raised and kept a couple black bears and I can tell you the only thing that will keep them in or out of anything is a 10 foot tall heavy gage chain link fence, posts concreted into the ground, with an inward slanted top, with a row of high voltage electric fence on top of the inward slanted top.
We also used one strip of electric fencing strung just inside the chain link fence, about one foot off the ground, to discourage them from even trying.
Can a bear get through hardware cloth? In four words....NOT AT MY HOUSE!!! We don't ahave bears around here, but if we did, I'd treat them the same as any predator threatening my livestock.
