I have a bantam new Hampshire 'Molly' who is 5 years old. She's always seemed to have a slight allergy to hay but it seems to have gotten worse or should I be looking for some other issue? she is fully wormed but I change the coop with fresh straw at the weekend. After this weekend she has gone awful! it's like she's having an asthma attack and it only goes away if I remove the straw completely! the cockerel who loves her to pieces has stopped eating as he won't leave her side and is obviously very worried about her! we thought we'd lost her twice this week already. Is there anything else I can try that chickens won't eat and cause soft crop? Any info would be helpful!

Thanks - I do give her fresh every week but it may be a cold or respiratory so i'll remove every bit of straw to check. I'll change to shavings!
