Some of the eggs I am getting have a film around them and look almost like they are poached. What causes this? Are they ok to eat?

The reason I asked is that very fresh eggs have dissolved gasses in the whites, sometimes making the white a little cloudy or well white. The gasses come out after a few hours sitting.

So are fresh eggs supposed to sit for a while before using or refrigerating? I always bring them in and put them straight into the fridge, is this wrong, or ok?

Nothing wrong using them straight from the hen. Or refrigerating them straight away.
