I have a mama cat that will steal eggs. Last summer I saw her carrying one from the coop to the old shop where her babies were. It was kind of funny watching her carry that egg and try to call the babies at the same time. Most of the other culprits I can think of have already been mentioned.
I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it. I have large fowl chickens, so their eggs are full-sized. I'm still not sure how she managed to carry them without breaking them.Wow never heard of that before. Lol
My guess would be snake with all that hay to hide in and you are not finding a shells or any sticky from the eggs.I think I underestimated those crooks! I may put out our game-cam and see what shows up. I'll have to check if something as small as a squirrel can activate the motion sensor.
Musta been some very small eggs or a very big cat cause none of my cats can open their mouth wide enough to haul off an eggI have a mama cat that will steal eggs.
