I have 25 bantam hens that are ages 9 months-5 years. They are a mixed flock but all get a long great. I have 10 Rhode Island Reds, 8 Cochins, 3 Americauna, & 4 Plymouth rocks. My dad is moving to Florida and doesn't want to take his duck with him. I was wondering if I could house the duck with the chickens and maybe extend their run a little to accommodate for the duck pond.
Would the chickens drown in the pond?
Can the duck eat the same food as the chickens?
(The hens eat flock raiser pellets mixed with scratch feed and a little bit of layer pellets. Also some fruit and veggie leftovers)
Also how do I make this transition as stress-free as possible?
(I live over 100 miles away from my dad)
