Can a nerve problem cause a rash?

The pain is like in the bone or something it is hard to describe the pain....but that sounds so much like what I had. That pain lasted a month

Every rash is not shingles, and nerve impingement is not at all likely to cause a rash. Nerve impingement would not cause shingles.

Please see a doctor, find out what it is, get it treated appropriately. With some conditions, cortisone cream can make it worse, not better, or do nothing at all.
