There all good, Ive eaten My wild turkey eggs and pheasant eggs, had some duck eggs from a friend and didn't care for them, however we ended up using the duck eggs for baking and they made some fantastic bake goods..

The turkey and pheasant eggs are tough to crack, but they taste just as good as chicken eggs..

Nice big turkey dippers..Yummy

One of the sites, Feathersite, ALBC had a list of what makes a heritage turkey "heritage" The key thing was they have to be able to self reproduce and breed true. Alot of the highly colored breeds don't breed true.

Just think of the omelet an ostrich egg would make.

Actually my 8th grade science teacher had two ostrich hens. The last day of school she brought an egg for each class and cooked breakfast burritos for the class. One egg fed well over twenty of us. The egg didn't taste any different to me, but it was a lot fluffier.

Just add some milk and scramble them up for omlets or use 'em when making noodles.............all both ways are great!!!!!!

why aren;t my turkeys breeeding? I have a pair of red boubons and a pair of blue slates. They all lay 1 egg daily even my white broad breasted turkey but no one is sitting the eggs are just scattered the coop.
