. my dad has a good point though, he dosn't want nieghboors to turn us in, even know i'm allowed to have chickens and roosters. but can i teach a roster NOT to crow? i could run outside and squirt him with a water bottle ever time he crows, has anyone done it before?

Don't we wish! No, you cannot teach a rooster not to crow. Some breeds crow less than others, but every rooster will crow, just as every hen lays an egg.

If you're allowed chickens and roosters, what would the neighbors be turning you in for?
Birds gotta fly, fish gotta swim and roosters gotta crow.

I don't think so...but I have one that crows on command! I crow...he crows back...it's kinda cute...me and my little bantam roo crowing together...I'm sure the neighbors think I've lost it though! But I haven't found a way to get him to not crow...
