can anyone help a new egg here sick silkie going down hill

One thing you have to think about is that the weaker ones are some times kept away from the food by the stronger ones. When I have to leave for a couple days, I'll leave food and water in the coop as well as out in the run where it normally is. Maybe yours is getting picked on too much and that's why his knee is hurt. Always make sure he has access to food and water. I pull my sickie hen away once a day and give her extra chow and an egg yoke or two. Then I put her back with the rest to free range. It's a good way to help or keep them bonded.

By the way, I reallly admire that you spent a lot of time researching first before you made this post. You're doing a great job.

the silkie is doing ok, I was almost in tears though becuse I took care of her/him this am and then took out a can of peas to feed it and some of my old hens, I set the can that had a sharp spot on it down for a min to give some of the peas to the old hen and my 9 year old son said oh my gosh what is all that red stuff, my mean houdan rooster had somehow cut its foot on the can and was bleeding all over so I had to put a presure bandage on it after I cleaned it and put it in isolation I then checked on silkie again and fed and watered the rest and went in to get more stuff ready for our sale we are having. My neighbor came over and I took her down to show her the cut roo and ther was little silkie on its side in the the run with another roo on it trying to mate or kill it I am not sure. I rused in and threw the roo off, getting a bit ripped up in the process and then loved on the little silkie gave it a half of baby asprin watter and some of the vitamens you said and some soft bread but it would not eat much I have been hart sick all night. I feel so dumb how could i let that roo get cut and then leave the door somehow not latched, I swear I checked it and poor little silkie got so beat up. I did notice today there there was no heat in the joint and when I bend it, there is not as much pain but the leg looks funny like it is pushed out of joint can I do anything? as for worming no I did not follow up I used Ivermectin the last time and that was it, should I worm again?

black silkie is now not able to stand on its own now it seems to not be able to feel its leg
