Can anyone help me please I’m worried

I’m now really worried out of fear iv just candled and I didn’t see what I wanted to there is no movement and there now seems to loads of room left in the egg everything’s floated to the top are they dead

That's so sad. I feel sorry for your loss. I have a back up plan if my attempt at incubating doesn't work out. See if your local farm store has any chicks available and if not, you can order them online. Good luck with your new wee one.

I would still give them a couple more days, I once tossed what I thought was a dead egg into the compost bin. About an hour later I found a live baby chick in there. Now I'll let them go 23-25 days just to be sure.

Should I just leave them the air cell is still there I can see a chick in some but no movement but to be honest I just didn’t want to harm them so didn’t look for to long thankyou everyone for your advice

Oh Yh I’m gonna leave them I think but shouldn’t most of the egg be taken up by now?? I can still still half a egg of egg whites

I'm really surprised you got a chick out of that incubator, that's pretty damn cool...... they are known to spike in temperature and fry your eggs!

Hiya everyone so sorry for the late reply and thankyou for your concern unfortunately no more hatched so I decided to do the “floating egg” test and they all sank to the bottom so I thought this isn’t right I tapped on the eggs there was nothing at this point no noise movement of eggs or anything ;I was alittle upset because I didn’t want to leave violet (my chick) on her own but unfortunately due to the circumstances Im now in I have to.I rang up hatcheries in my area and non had any chicks till the spring as it’s the winter here in the uk . Anyway going back to what happened after I checked the eggs in many more ways then one I thoight theres no way any are alive in these eggs (I had 4 left in the bator at this time I candled them but I had 2 dark eggs and couldn’t see much as the shell was dark but knew at some point there was life in them as I saw veins etc I also had leghorn egg and another light brown ) anyway I wanted to know at what point did they pass so I could get more of a judge on what really happened in the bator and anything I can improve on I opened the eggs the 2 dark eggs had life I say till about day 8-9 the light brown had life till about roughly the same and the leghorn had life till about day 19 ! I was gutted as it was there fully formed but just needed to absorb the rest of the yolk etc .. so iv bought a new batch of eggs with a new automatic incubator (waiting for it to arrive) that does the turning for me instead and tells me heat and humidity so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this batch is going better then the last But I want to say a massive thankyou to everyone that tried to help me when I needed it’s very much appreciated and this is violet now after afew days of drying off , loving life and sleeping like baby and I feel lucky to have her

I'm sorry to hear only 1 chick made it. Is there any chance that you could contact poultry clubs or breeders in the vicinity? Some might be starting their breeding program already for 2019 and could spare a buddy for Violet. Even if they don't, they might be able to give you a tip on who does.
