Can anyone ID this baby snake? We live in Northern Virginia abd it is early September. Found inside in our basement.

Welcome to BYC
Since it appears to be quite stuck on a glue trap (?) you can likely get a bit more focused and detailed photo(s) - specifcally showing the shape of the head and/or the eyes would be helpful. Have you put it out of it's misery or are you going to free it from the glue?

Honestly we use the traps to catch bugs in the basement. I was surprised to find the snake in the trap. Had to euthanize it since it was barely hanging on. Thanks for all your replys. I just wanted to make sure it was not poisonous.

Pine snake or corn snake are good possibilities, might be a milk snake too. They all sorta broadly imitate a rattlesnake and are harmless. They are certainly a danger to chicks, but especially to rodents. They would also eat eggs but only at a pretty substantial size.
