Can anyone identify this huge bird??

In the USA, nothing. Vultures are commonly called buzzards. (but that's like calling bison - "buffalo")

In Europe, buzzards are hawks.

I've never seen the buzzards around here chase the hawks. However, the crows we have give the hawks and the eagles a terrible time.

we have about 8 each day circling above the house.. we are on a hilltop and the breeze lifts them up higher and higher.. i have seen them about 30 ft above the house but didn't know they would attack chickens alive..they are there everyday. even landing on some of the trees with their wings open to catch the sun.. they are huge.... guess i better watch closer they have been here all summer. i just looked at the cornell university site and it says they will take ibis.. young baby animals and carrion among other things.
