Could be dry blood from fighting.

i agree it could be dry blood just watch it and see what happens if it is blood you should be able to wipe it with a damp paper towel and red come off.

Wow that's a huge comb for a hen! Those look like scabs to me from fighting too. If you had not said it was a hen I would say its a rooster.

That is so cool, my hens all have girlie combs.

Thanks all...cleaned the blood off and all is fine.... We have five hens, four of them have roster like combs.. .LOL
