Thank you. I'm not desperate. I'll love them no matter what. It's just a curious thing when you wind up with chicks and don't know what they are. The only one that I know for sure is the EE that looks exactly like a chipmunk. I was just hoping that someone with the knowledge would have some ideas for me.

I was just feeling like I was talking to myself here. Lol!

Someone mentioned Black Copper Maran because of the feathered legs. But the barring on two of them and the fact that they all look like they will have pea combs really has me wondering. I figure they are all mutts but it would be fun to have some ideas as to what could be the possible mix.

Cochins and Brahmas have feathered legs also, so that might be in the mix.

I can't help id them, but I can agree that they are very cute peeps! It's kinda fun to wait and see what they will turn in to!

The second one looks like it might be a golden laced Wyandotte and the third one looks like a barred rock maybe. ..

I just realized that that last one looks to have a rose comb.. very uncommon in EEs... so porbably not an easter egger.

Unfortunately that room is the lightest in my house. The real problem is I have a cruddy camera. I will try outside pics and see if that makes a difference. Their colors are absolutely amazing in the natural light outside!

I would love a gold laced wyandotte! I was wanting to add wyandottes in the spring!

I had thought barred rock for the two with barring but one has feathered legs. Maybe one is a rock and the other is a mix.

Rose combs? This I will have to research as well as brahmas! Thank you for the input. I will see about some outdoor better pics!

Earlier or later in the day is best for outdoor photos....if the sun is out......with sun behind the photographer, really makes the colors pop.

So I made an attempt at some outdoor pics.


I thought these two were Barred Rock initially but one has feathered legs and neither appears to have a single comb forming.


EE for this one since looks like a chipmunk and legs appear green? The black one on the right has feathered legs. Wonder about that one.


No clue here. Gold laced something?


Second one from left??? And of course the black on on the left and the black one on the right. The black one on the right is getting red feathers on the chest. The black on on the left has feathered legs and a white chest.

They are so cute and incredibly spunky! We are calling them our gremlins.
