Can anyone tell what color this bantam cochin is going to be?

I'm also excited to see if mine is frizzled or not (either way is fine by me)

If it's a hen I think I'll name her Dottie.

LavFeather...if you decide to do an incubator let me know. I'd be happy to send you some eggs from my little Henny Pennies.

My roo is pretty special and the mamas are the cutest little fluff butts ever! They hop all over the yard, are super fluffy, and make funny noises. Shipping is $10.85 and I'll donate the eggs themselves if you want some.

Marcy, that's incredibly nice of you! Thanks so much. Now I will HAVE to get an incubator :-) It will be a little while from now though--I over did it picking up chickens off of Craig's List, and am currently short on coop/run space. We have all kinds of predators here, so things have to be done right. So for the moment, I had to give up the coyote-proof little enclosure attached to the house that I use for my Chihuahuas, and put some growing chickens in there. Needless to say, this causes problems. My little dogs don't like my big dogs, and for the moment they're all having to hang out together. They bark at each other and give me a headache, and the cocky little male Chi lifts his leg on the Ridgeback's bowl every morning after breakfast. So charming...

"Dottie" is an adorable chicken name. I have been naming mine after characters from Mad Men. I have Betty Francis (light Brahma), Sally Draper (white Silkie), Megan and Joan (Black Copper Marans). And a suspected cockerel named Sterling. Peggy Olson was a splash Silkie, but she died :-( The others' names aren't from a show--Mondo, Inky, Tweet, Violet, Stanley. The little Cochin is tentatively named Cupcake--but he might object to that if he turns out to be a boy...
