Can BBS Orps produce barred chicks?

I purchased several BBS chicks from a reputable breeder. Now that they are 8 weeks, one blue cockerel is showing barring or a cuckoo pattern (is there a difference?) in his feathers. Is this possible with the BBS orps or is he an accidental cross of something else?

Cuckoo and barred are the same gene, just some breeds use different terms... there are barred/cuckoo orps and blue *can* blur barring at hatch... to know for sure, best to find out from your source if they have barred orps in their background or if an accidental cross happened...
