I have a creek that i can get crayfish from on our property , should chickens eat the crayfish as snacks if they are small enough for them to peck at, has anyone else fed any treats that are fun to watchthe chickens eat? have any mixes to feed them, like seeds, corn, berries anything else?

Be careful with the live / raw crayfish as they may harbor parasites chickens have troubles with. I am a big fan of crayfish for multiple reasons and eat them relatively frequently have reason to suspect they are not good for all animals to consume. Mealworms make for a good treat and we used to feed adult Chinese Mantids to chicks in years the insects were particularly abundant.

I threw out a dead pet crawdad and the chickens pounced on it. They were all okay but I wouldn't try feeding them one again

Every evening for the past month or so my wife and I go grass hopper collecting. The birds love them. And I'm not 100% sure but I have been getting a lot of double yokers lately.
