I know they can have yogurt and I gave them some for the first time today.........thought I'd die laughing at the yogurt flying all over........and they looked so silly with it all over their beaks and crops.

Now I'm wondering what else they can have along those lines.

How about ice cream?

I wouldn't do the ice cream. Too much sugar, too much fat.

Cheeses, sour cream, buttermilk, yogurt, kefir, whey , etc. Milk should be fresh and 100% raw. Commercial milk should be clabbered.

Hmmmm.... I like Buttermilk...........Maybe we'll all do buttermilk together tomorrow during the chickenvision. No Ice Cream Huh?

One of my girls recently took a peck at my ice cream, then tried to come back for more.

I have not met an animal yet that didn't like ice cream!! But just because they like it doesn't mean they should have it!

Mine love cheese! I give them the parmesan rind and whoever grabs it gets chased around by the others. I try to break it inot a few peices but in general it is a fun game! And of course plain yogurt is good for them, so I will put a big dollop on top of leftovers or chicken scraps and they love that too.
