Can chickens eat spicy food?

it does not matter the type. Most of the time I am adding powdered pepper like from chillis. Paprika and Cayenne also used. I mix in as part of diet when collecting hatching eggs, especially late in the season with penned hens.
Is it spicy?

Years ago on a pretty fall day, my hens ate a whole pepper patch worth of cayenne, and Tabasco peppers that I was allowing to dry out on the pepper plants for next year's seed.

Remember that ripe pepper are red and I ass-u-me that you know how much hens love red.
Must be delicious

1/4 TEASPOON of ground cayenne per chicken is the recommended dose.. not sure about ducks, but my turkeys eat the feed... so far the dog hasn't developed a taste for it... and the mice/chipumks stay out of the feed.
Yum

I grow various varieties of hot peppers. I am going to assume I can feed them to.my chickens fresh. I also dehydrate them for preservation so I am assuming once again I can crush and feed those too. Also assuming it doesn't matter which type of hot pepper.
I know, I know....ass-u-me.
