Can chickens get depressed? Update: he's sick instead

It's only in 80s here but it is pretty humid. But I prefer it outside rather than in my AC, that's just me lol.

I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow because he wouldn't even go up to roost tonight.

I'm really worried, he's really tired. I'll update this when I come home from the vet tomorrow. Thanks for the replies and help everyone.

He's sick.

He has a kidney infection and a sinus infection, I took him to the vet today.
The vet gave him a sulfa shot in the breast and some type of intense antibtiotics that I have to give him twice a day. He's ALREADY feeling better.

He even crowed when I brought him home! I really hope he responds well to these treatments. I'm praying he'll pull through.

He's currently inside the house by me, sleeping. Enjoying the AC.

He seems a lot more active. Just the way he looks around the room. I'm hoping he doesn't get worse.

The doc said he might. But that means the antibiotics I'm giving him aren't helping and he will give me something different. So I just hope he responds well to something.

Thanks for the support.
