I recently treated a chicken for sour crop. I had her inside for four days. During that time she ate mostly soft foods with the last day having her pellets mixed into it. She was emptying crop normal eating drinking normal etc. I put her back in the coop and the only thing she will eat is scratch....is it possible she feels she still needs pampered? she kind of sits puffed up in the middle of the run until I show up at the fence...

My guess is that she does not yet feel well. Spoiled? Yes, in the sense that they get used to certain things and expect them-food, handling, etc.

When my hens get sour crop, they will eat only scratch and maybe a little dry crumbles when their normal feed is moist fermented. They also like raw squash during their recovery. That your hen is demanding only scratch is in keeping with my experience. It takes time for the crop to return to normal, sort of like when we suffer an upset stomach we only want to eat simple, neutral things for a while.
