Can chickens live in 98 degrees with 50 percent humidity?

Today is suppose to be 98 Fahrenheit (which isn’t that bad, my chickens seem to do fine in 101 degrees) but the difference is today is going to be 50 percent humidity, which makes it feel SO much hotter than it actually is. Usually the humidity is somewhere around 20 percent to 30 percent. Should I be concerned?

Usually very hot and humid where I’m at as well! I provide plenty of cool water, shallow trays of water that they walk in and sometimes a cool treat like watermelon. I also have a mister that I turn on and they love that!

A little late for this post but wanted to share our experiance last year. We had record heat waves. Incredible 🔥. 110- 121 degree, dry weather according to our outdoor thermometers. I was so concerned. I put plenty of shallow baking trays with cold water for them to walk in. Added ice cubes to them several times a day. The girls spent alot of time standing in them and drinking. I froze bottles of water and put them in their water containers to help keep drinking water cold. The girls used this space to sit because it was cooler around the waterer. Put up misters with a timer on the faucet that we could turn on for half hour or hour increments in the hottest parts of the days. Froze tin baking trays with a variety of fruit to let them enjoy. Also added additional shade and opened them up to enjoy the deeper shade of our home (poop city on the porch). We also have roosting bars in the run they choose to use instead of hen house. As expected we did not get as many eggs because they were stressed but we did not loose any girls. We did not take vacations or leave them for to long during last summer.
