Can chickens start laying at 15 weeks?

Yes, they can and do lay eggs at 15 weeks old. First they start fake laying and singing the egg song and spend time in the nest boxes.
Your Bird is fine.
An egg will be an exciting time....

Hi! So did you find the culprit, if it really was your 15 wk PR that laid? (obviously it's been a month now, things probably have changed)

I have 4 15 week olds too. 2 roos 1 which is crowing and trying to mate with my big cochin. The 2 pullets, of which 1 laid an egg today and an egg 2 days ago. And yes its the teenagers! I will do the fingertip pelvic test tomorrow.
