Can chicks eat bananas?

This is just a quick question because I saw that bananas are a good treat for chickens and was wondering if I could try feeding my 7 week old chicks a cut up banana with out the peal. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

I've disposed of my over-ripe bananas by convincing the chickens they're a huge treat. They fall for it every time.

bananas are fine for your chicks just as long as you feed them grit or coarse sand.

If they have grit or if they have outdoor privileges so they can get their own grit, bananas are fine. Bananas never go bad in my house. Once they get dead ripe, I peel and freeze them for banana bread or banana pancakes.

I’ve offered chick grit since the beginning, so they are all set on that.
