I know this may sound like a stupid question, but I wanted to ask people with expierence. I have raised ducks before and chickens, however not at the same time. I currently have lots of chickens. I am wondering can ducks and chickens live near each other, they will be in seperate large pens. Or do the two transmit diseases between each other? I am very picky about my chickens cleanliness in their pens and coops, everyone is very healthly and I don't want to risk illness. But I would like to add some ducks to the family !!!! Thanks!!!

I'm new to ducks and put my ducklings out with my chickens and they are doing fine. I do have a group of 6 chicks that are about a month old (ducklings are 1 week) that are terrified of them though. It's really funny to watch.
