Can ducks develop hoarseness?

OK then, I'll just quietly back out and you can handle it from here..
Never back out quietly!
perhaps not, but in the end it was correct, wasn't it ?
I am an old man and I am blunt and to the point when I speak. I never learned how to sugar coat my sentences..
I prefer blunt people over politicians anytime! And yes, you were dead wrong! I know the difference between duck and drake and Donald was just hoarse. He got back his normal voice.

It's good that you notice subtle changes like this, :highfive:, many people don't. Peacocks scream just about 24/7 during breeding season and some have been known to lose their voices at the end of the season.

If a bird's vocalization changes one should pay close attention to it and watch for other signs of illness, like depression, watery eyes, watery nares, coughing sneezing, weight loss, etc.

You could pick up some VetRX next time your at the feed store to have in their med chest. It's like Vicks except for poultry. Don't ever think unusual rasping is normal but we don't want to over worry either best thing to just observe and if symptoms were to change then act. We just have to know out birds. And I am sure you do. Since you picked up that little change from normal.
Hi the vetRX does what my duck has a raspy voice and sometimes it sounds like a squeak or a cry I posted but nobody’s replied. Can you help me?

She seemed kind of raggedy for lack of a better word and not keeping up with the flock. I brought her in last night and I created her if I give her the vet RX can she go back outside or should I keep her in?

are you sure it is a "she" ?
in some species the male duck does not "quack"
it squeaks and sounds like it has something caught in it's throat. nothing to worry about.
muscovys also do not quack.
what kind of duck is it ?
