Can eggs survive this?

@Cowdoggin Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm glad to hear you had a pretty good hatch anyway. My eggs cooled on day 10-11 so it will be interesting to see if they can survive it about halfway through the incubation.
@ZainabH I know what you mean about being obsessed with your flock. I have (5) 7 week olds & (3) 2 week olds. Plus the eggs which were supposed to hatch 8/13. DH & I took this week off to build our coop. Seems like we've done nothing but chickens all summer! We love them so much. I feel so blessed with our girls & hubby who loves them as much as I do. I am so excited they are pipping! Congratulations on the OrpX - that will be a beautiful bird! 2 of my eggs are Black Australorps, and I have a 2 week old Blue Orpington chick. I love her! Sorry about losing the one egg, but that seems to happen even in the most ideal incubation stories, sometimes they just don't make it. Can't wait to hear how the pips do!

So I only got 3! Still I feel lucky to get any. One x as I said which made it out alone. Was there to greet me when I went to check. Was a bit sticky though... Then a blue splash Orpington, very sticky , which I gave time then unzipped only. Then a white Wyandotte that was totally glued into the membrane. Left it also a long time (overnight) then had to save it this morning. So 3 out of 7. One of those was a bit iffy. A bit under developed anyway I thought at last candling before lockdown. So everyone was right about losing 50% due to low temp. I did a post mortem (very sad) to learn from what happened to them. All had come to full term but definitely had died during the time frame the incubator got turned off. I say this because their little eyes were not QUITE ready it seemed, but that was all.

So glad for your Australorps and blue Orpington. My Australorp girls have no roo of their own breed. They were a chance to have some mature layers so, I took them, hence the x with my blue Orpington roo Orlando. He is such a sweet boy. I gave them to him and he flopped on the floor of his coop calling them, as if to say this is nice straw you can lay down here if you want. He then showed them food water and nest boxes. I was absolutely flabbergasted. What a gent!

Yesterday a baby was loose on the floor crying, Orlando tried to give it a lettuce leaf. Too cute!
Wow you're probably sick of my post now. Toooooooooo loooooooong! However I have my 3 to add to last weeks hatch of 6...3 of my special xs, one splash Orpie and 1 black 1 blue Orpie. So I feel lucky to have 9 little peepers in all.

Congratulations! I'd love to see pics of those little fuzzbutts if you get time. I candled on day 14 (wed.) & I couldn't believe it, but I saw movement in 7!!! 2 more were too dark inside for me to definitely see movement, but i coud tell there is development since last candle & I could see veins. I feel so blessed to see my little blobs of joy still kicking! 2 more days til lockdown. .. if any of them make it to successfully hatching out I'm going to name them miracle, faith, hope, love, toughy, & tenacity lol .
