I'd been keeping my eye on my guinea hen who is starting a nice clutch of eggs. It's in the edge of my field (which is not good) I've been checking every day or so to keep count and hoping to "nab" the hen when she decides to go broody. Now she's just laying them.
I went out the other day and checked and all the eggs were gone except for 2-3 broken ones. I assumed that a predator had gotten all the eggs. However, later that day, I came upon her new nest location at least 150+ feet away full of eggs.
Please help me understand how this could happen?
