Can hens with mycoplasma hatch and raise chicks that will survive?

Sadly my flock got mycoplasma somehow back when they were around 8 weeks old and I've been treating it when there's a flare from heat stress but overall they seem completely fine. I know people would just cull and start over but I love my flock so much and im happy to put in the extra effort to care for them (I raised them from 1 day old) They're now hens and I know some of the breeds I have can go broody, my question is could I buy some fertile eggs for my broody hen to hatch and raise? I know they would get the disease but would they survive? (I would not sell any of the chicks obviously, this is just to add more to my flock)

Welcome To BYC

You can try and see what happens. I don't know if anyone can give a direct answer as to whether or not chicks will survive. You are right, the chicks would be exposed and become carriers even if they never show symptoms. It's possible they may become sick and not thrive or possible they all thrive very well.
