We are starting our new poultry adventure next Spring. We will be raising and breeding several breeds of chickens, some guineas and peacocks (eventually). This will be a business for us. Eventually we will have cows and who knows what else so I can't label it just poultry. My initial business name was H&H Ranch and Hatchery. We will not be outsourcing our hatching eggs. They will be from our flocks so do I still qualify as a hatchery? I'm thinking yes but I do not want to be associated with ugly, less than SOP birds. We will start with quality lines. Poultry farms are associated with raising meat birds for processing. What should it actually be called? Help!

:welcome :frow I raise potential show quality birds pure breeds. I have been breeding them for many years. I have never changed the lines or renamed the lines. My SC Rhode Island Reds are originally from the Reese line of Reds. People who know me associate my birds with the Reese line of which they are and I don't mix or cross lines. I keep them pure. This is the same for all of my lines.
