the name pretty much sums up the entire question; i was just wondering if it would be harmful or not to burn a scented candle in the room with quail chicks. if it is, could i take the chicks out of said room, burn the scented candle, and move them back in?

That's an interesting question. I have a plug in wallflower scented air freshener. I've wondered if it irritates my chinchilla, but it doesn't seem too. I have chicks in the same room, it didn't occur to me to worry about them. 😲

Theres an article I saw about some essences in candles that can harm dogs. Let me see if I can find it. It is a different species, but maybe the same smile chickens have sensitive respiratory systems too?

Can't you just not light the candle, if it poses a big enough risk for you to ask about it? Or do it in a different room?

i wanted to clear the smell out a bit in the quail's room so i was just wondering
Open a window?
Perhaps clean the brooder with some surface cleaner spay and stuff?
I guess it's a bit like deodorant to a smelly pit - it helps for a bit, but the solution is always to wash it.
