Can I cross two Easter Eggers? Heard that there was a problem and the chicks might not survive.

Hi,
I have three EE hens and just found out that I have an EE cockerel. Have two Cream Legbars also. Considering whether to keep the roo to produce blue eggs, but seem to remember having read something about the outcome being possibly fatal for the chicks. Could someone with experience please clarify this, and explain why? Don't want to keep this roo if might get dead biddies as a result of crossing the EE's.

Thanks!

There is a lethal gene associated with tufting in Araucanas. EE are highly unlikely to carry this gene. (Like as in never.)

x2. Lethal gene is with tufts, not the beard and muffs Easter eggers have. Feel free to breed away, I sure do
