I currently have 12 chickens 2 cornish x and 2 silver laced wyandottes 4 Rhode island reds and 4 Ameraucanas. They are all 7 weeks old today. Ive been keeping the cornish x with all the other chickens and they are on medicated feed until the bag is gone, then I plan on switching them to non medicated feed. They were in a brooder inside my house until 1 week ago so I had them on the medicated feed. The cornish x still have a couple weeks before I process them. I was wondering if it is okay to eat them since they have been eating medicated feed or should I separate them and feed them meatbird feed for a couple weeks? Or would it hurt my laying hens to feed them the meat bird feed for a couple weeks? I'm sorry for not knowing this is my first time taking care of meatbirds.
