I have two 4 week old chicks and I've recently run out of food and am currently unable to get them more. I happen to have cracked corn and plain oatmeal in my house and was wondering if these are safe to feed the chicks??

Is this just for a day or 2? I know that wet oatmeal is a great treat. Personally, I wouldn't feed cracked corn at that age. Could you boil the heck out of it? It doesn't have near enough protein though. Any fruits or veggies you could give them? Whole grain bread? Cereal? Old salad stuff?I have two 4 week old chicks and I've recently run out of food and am currently unable to get them more. That would worry me, but I'm not an expert. I'll throw to @Michael OShay ?We don't have any chicken safe vegetables, and it will only be until tomorrow when I can go and get the food for them. Would corn be dangerous alone if its just for a day?

Could I possibly give the chicks some scratch? Otherwise if I can't do that, I'll do the eggs.
