Can I Feed My Hens Grower Feed Instead Of Layers?

I would rather use Buckeyes Big 4 that has the needed Animal Protein in it but if you cant find that you can use a 20-22% Game bird feed or a good Starter that has Animal Protein in it.
I do not like Purina at all and I think Purina forgot that chickens a omnivores

So, if I start feeding just Flock Raiser to everyone, and I put a dish of Oyster shell, will only the hens who need it, eat the oyster shell?
This would make things a lot easier...

The young birds MAY sample the crushed oyster shell, but they won't eat much of it. Just the layers who need the supplement will partake very much of it. And not even all of them, all the time; not every hen has the same calcium requirements.

My 17 week old RIR's are moulting. How long will this last and will they lay when old enough??
