Can I feed them grubs from the garden?

Our hens LOVE the grubs in the yard. We get several beetle species, so they get some variety, too, including GIANT palo verde beetle grubs. The ladies know when we start to turn the raised beds for new planting that they will get to help, and will scream at us until we open the gate to let them in!

How much beer could she drink before she started to walk funny?

She held her own,and had a designated walker with her at all times.

That's what chickens are supposed to do.

- Dig up and eat grubs, eat plants, etc. They weren't made to sit around in a run and eat processed corn, wheat, and soy.

btw - The grubs you see are likely beetle larvae. Quite fine.
It is like the ad of a popular chicken brand where the chickens are in the front yard of the barn and packing at the ground - well they’re saying only natural ingredients no animals blah blah blah well what do you think they’re packing in the ground for? There are also probably some of the best mousers I’ve ever seen.
