Can I get some more opinions on my day old Barred Rock?

its a sex link gene. does not work on any of my birds at all but seems to work a lot of the times on hatchery birds

I have two chicks that are 2nd generation sex link, black sex link mama and blue or lavendar orp papa... I wonder if this would work on my 2???

no. the black sex link is already a mix between a barred mom and a solid colored roo. all chicks hatch out black but the males have head spots.

red sex links are a mix between a silver (like a leghorn where the white is domanate) mom and red roo.

When looking at leg color don't worry about a toe here and there.

I'm not great on sexing day olds by the headspot, but my guesses are, left to right pullet, roo, not a barred chick, and roo.

I'm not positive on the first two chicks, but I'm pretty sure the last one is a roo. The third chick, with the solid head, isn't barred anything. It could be a sex link pullet, with a barred momma and a non barred papa, or it could be an aussie, or a barred roo over and aussie hen. You won't be able to tell until it's feathered.
