She is in pain and I want to help her. One of the little punk neighbor hood kids got into the coop when I was not at home and hurt her. She is limping on one foot. I am not sure exactly what he did to her, because my kids wont tell me everything. But I can tell she is in pain. Is there something I can give her. I thought maybe a piece of baby asprin or something?
Does anybody have any suggestions?
Thank you in advance

i have given my a baby asprin, i have also doctored them with vit e capsule broken and put the liquid in there mouth. maybe this chicken needs to be put off somewhere by thereself and needs extra nurtionment like from yogurt and oatmeal, that sort of thing. best of luck.

Yes, you can give her a small amount of baby asprin... about a quarter of a piece. Disolve it in some water and give it to her via syringe. If you can, bring her inside or put her in her own area (in a cage, chicken tractor, whatever you have on hand) so she can rest her leg.

She seems to be doing better, but she seems afraid. I did put some asprin in her water and she rested some last night. I did buy a lock and put it on the coop also and told the kids they are not allowed in the yard.
Thank you everyone for your help

Glad that she's doing better. I made sure that any of the neighbourhood kids knew that they weren't to come in the yard if I wasn't home...unfortunately, it never stopped some of them from throwing things at them...:thun

She should come around with some TLC and when she feels safe again.
