I usually give my hens kale and strawberries, but our kale plant is down to a couple young leaves. I want to give it some time to grow. In the meantime, we have broccoli plants that are FULL of leaves. I'm wondering if it is safe to give them the leaves (or should I do so in moderation). If so, if you know of any nutritional value that would be helpful also! Thanks so much :)

I always think you should do things in moderation when it comes to feeding treats to the chickens, but I feed mine all kinds of greens: broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, spinach, chard, kale, lettuce, turnips, just whatever I have. Some they eat better than others, but they usually eat them. I figure they are all nutritious as long as I don’t overdo it.

I do feed broccoli leaves and they love them
