Can I keep waterer outside?

I have my waterer outside but they have a bottle waterer (like for rabbits) inside and they do drink from both. The water in the bottle stays cleaner since I am not all that conscientious about cleaning their main waterer, and their bedding stays dry.

ours has been outside all summer but it started freezing at night, so we have an inside hook now too. when it is outside, we just make sure to let them out early enough.

they all go to the water in the am. but it has an added benefit of not getting dirty and allowing me to fill it before the beasts are loose.

I keep a small rubber bucket outside for mine, because they love to wash their faces in it. Inside in summer I use a 1 gal plastic waterer on a patio block raised with 3 cinder blocks. The winter variation is a 3 gal double-sided galvanized waterer on a heater base from Farm Innovators, on the same patio block (not set up yet). Just get the blocks levelled first and always keep the opening of the waterer on the lower side if you can't get it perfectly level.
