I had a bad start to my first try incubating eggs (chickens) on my own, and ended up with the wrong heat level and humidity for days in the beginning. We have had 3 hatch well, only 1 with curly toes, but I am waiting on the rest 2 days after first hatch. Is it safe to leave the egg remains in there? There is a slight smell. Only problem is, I don’t know how to get that stuff out—it’s final days and I don’t exactly have an extra incubator lying around. What should I do?
Can I stick them under a broody hen for a minute? Or is even the transfer time going to mess things up?
Thank you so much!
