Can I mix together different ages of chicks?

Hello everyone,
I recently got 6 new chicks, 4 of them are about 2 weeks old, and the other 2 are 3-4 weeks old. I just got a call from the feed store that they got in some Speckled Sussex, which I would really like to have. But I am wondering if it is okay to mix the ages? Someone told me that 2 weeks is good, but you shouldn't go past that. I really would like to get some more, but I don't want to jeopardize the girls that I have. Any suggestions?

Not such a good idea. the older ones will jack hammer the heck out of them

If you do get them I would separate with a piece of hardware cloth so the others can't pick on them but within a few weeks they will be used to seeing each other and should be ok.
