I have some chicks that i purchased on the 3rd of may. That’s the day they were delivered to the local Feed store. They have been under a heat lamp since inside the garage. Most feathers except for the ones on their head are already in. I live in Eastern NC where the highs are consistently 85-90 and the lows are 68-70. I’ve been moving their lamp up weekly and recently every other day due to the increased temperature in the garage. I’m curious if these girls can go to the coop. They will be in a sectioned off area that the other hens cannot access. They’re RIR chicks.

I agree they are fine! I'm in FL and my chick and ducklings are like 2 weeks and stopped using the heat provided( I use the momma heating pad) it's hot here too lol
I give it to them at night if they want it

You know all too well the heat I’m talking about.

Haha yes.. I'm originally from the keys, I am very used to the heat!
Just make sure they have access to alot of fresh clean water and you will be just fine!
